Had a couple appearances in this month’s Palm Springs International Film and Shorts Festival.
‘Off Track,’ a period Western about a cartographer who develops a relationship with a Native American shaman, screened on the land of the Cahuilla Tribe featured in the film. The short stars Ryan Dorsey from ‘Justified’…
…and Jay Tavare from ‘The Missing,’ ‘Cold Mountain,’ and far more importantly, he was Vega in ‘Street Fighter’:
The film’s official website is here, where you can find some fun shots of stressed out Cowboy Bill like these:
Meanwhile, ‘Stealth‘ continues to tear up the festival circuit.
After making it’s international premiere at The Toronto Kids International Film Festival, ‘Stealth’ screened in Cannes at the American Pavilion Emerging Filmmaker Showcase and in the Cannes court métrage, won Best Showcase Short Film at The Soho International Film Festival, won the Best Student Short Film Award at the Cleveland International Film Festival, took top honor at the Las Vegas Lift-Off Film Festival (Best Narrative), won Audience Choice Narrative Short at the Minneapolis St. Paul International Film Festival, and brought home two College Emmys, First Place in the Children’s Program and The Bricker Humanitarian Award.

Here, Melissa and director Bennet Lasseter pose with their College Emmys and two people I don’t know:
Congratulations to the filmmakers, cast and crew of both projects!
